My friends all know I’m a sucker for clean skin care. I’m not perfect but I do try my best to stay as safe as possible when it comes to what I put on my skin. I didn’t have to alter too much of my normal routine, however I did keep it very streamlined and opted for a minimal approach during pregnancy. I’m not sure about any other new moms out there but I was certainly overwhelmed at the beginning by how important it is to better my body and mind in order to take care of the growing child inside my tummy. Intense responsibility…
To be completely honest, I found calm in organizing my top shelf. It was one area of my life that I felt in control (you now with Covid and all, tampering with our future plans), and it gave me the opportunity to do a little online shopping and some late-night research (which I adore). One of my great friends Vicki shared the website 15 Minute Beauty because it is an amazing resource for pregnancy and breastfeeding skincare. It is heavily Sephora-focused so I adjusted my routine to strictly be products that could be found on the Sephora App. So easy. The creator of the website also speaks on Glossier – I was happy to read that most of my makeup was a-ok!
Honestly, if there was a product I wanted to use I would google:
“(skincare brand or name) 15 minute beauty” and there was my answer!
Lastly, my trusted Agent Nateur products (my holy grail) are approved – the founder created the entire line to be pregnancy safe. I’m obsessed with everything Agent offers – I have almost the entire line. My favourite product is the Holi C powder because of its proven ability to help with redness and complexion, tightening, and help fight breakouts. I also have sworn by the natural deodorant (rose) for years. It’s expensive – but so worth it.
Just a side note: I didn’t get any stretch marks – I’m not sure if it was because of the oils I used but I’m going to lean on that. I’ve linked them – Erbaviva and Weleda.
