“Just like a cat, she lands on her feet.
In October 2014, I launched a blog called A Leather-Bound Journal that became a curated digital space focused on wellness, food, and personal style. Through original content and effortless collaborations with brands and likeminded creatives, ALBJ delivered innovative content in digital and 35mm photographs. Due to a hard-hitting diagnosis of MS, I had to take a well-needed “virtual” break.
Now in 2020, with excitement, love of my life and a new baby on the way (and my health in check), I have relaunched my digital space with a newly found wisdom. Welcome to Sea-To-Sky Mama! The goal is to connect mindfully, spiritually, fashionably, and honestly, with people all over the world. Follow along as this city girl conquers the great outdoors!
About Carlle
Carlle is a 5’8″ 30-something girl obsessed with choosing her own adventure. She realizes her day dreams and loves to create. She dresses for comfort, always feminine, sometimes vintage, and very playful. Her hair is harlow gold, her lips a sweet surprise. Good vibes include Nirvana, Amen Dunes, The Growlers, Bob Dylan, Frank Ocean, and Joni Mitchell. Her partner has turned her over to good ol’ country classics. She’s a water baby who chomps on a lot of greens and takes a Hatha class to get to Zion. On rainy days, she would rather be watching The Royal Tenenbaums, I Love You Man, Annie Hall, Romeo + Juliet, or Almost Famous. Pink is her favourite colour. She also adores yellow. Her education background includes a Bachelor of Education, as well as a Marketing Diploma in Fashion and Branding. She has spent several years at a leading Canadian womenswear brand before moving into weddings and events.
In July 2014, life for this free spirit turned upside down – Carlle was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, an incurable and chronic autoimmune disease. From the moment she was labelled, she knew that a natural and holistic approach to healing would be her answer so she quickly turned to food and lifestyle changes. If it wasn’t for a woman by the name of Ann Boroch, Carlle would be lost. Fast forward to 2017 when Carlle went to Moscow, Russia to undergo a controversial treatment called HSCT (Hematopoietic Stem Cell Therapy). This is only the beginning. This Sea-To-Sky Mama is sharing all that she can here. She aims to thrive in this beautiful life so thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read her mind.
